Senior Communications Manager

Kate Schulman (she/her) is the Senior Communications Manager for the Universal Access Project. In this role, Kate leads strategic communications planning and implementation, including top-tier media engagement, issue messaging and multiplatform content development, to support UAP’s work mobilizing resources to advance global SRHRJ.

Before joining UAP in 2017, Kate was part of the Public & Corporate Affairs team at Ketchum, a leading global public relations agency, where she specialized in public affairs, issues management and media relations for a range of corporate, government and trade association clients.

Prior to joining Ketchum, Kate worked on the public affairs team at the strategic communications firm LEVICK, where she supported high-profile clients in litigation, crisis and financial matters. Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Virginia Tech.
