Kate Schulman is the Senior Communications Manager for the United Nations Foundation’s Universal Access Project. In this role, Kate leads strategic communications planning and implementation, including top-tier media engagement, issue messaging, and multi-platform content development, to support the Project’s goal of empowering girls and women by improving their access to reproductive health and family planning services globally.

Before joining the Universal Access Project in 2017, Kate was part of the Public & Corporate Affairs team at Ketchum, a leading global public relations agency, where she specialized in public affairs, issues management and media relations for a range of corporate, government and trade association clients. Prior to joining Ketchum, Kate worked on the public affairs team at the strategic communications firm LEVICK, where she supported high-profile clients in litigation, crisis and financial matters.

Kate holds a B.A. in Communications from Virginia Tech.
